EMBODY = Great accent work is so much more than understanding the patterns and doing the ‘right’ sounds and, yet, it is so easy to get lost in that stuff. The new sounds, shapes and tunes must also be grappled with practically, physically. In the EMBODY phase we work to find the most effective ways for you to get the sounds and shapes of a new accent into your muscle memory and feeling familiar and comfortable enough to use to express yourself. The EMBODY phase is the antidote to being in your head!
CONNECT = Being able to do an accent is one thing, acting in it is something different entirely. The CONNECT phase is about working together to find the best way to integrate all this accent stuff with your acting stuff and ensuring you have tools and processes up your sleeve that make sense for you as an actor.
