A three-phase programme that connects the dots between accents & acting.
Equip yourself with a trusted, reliable approach to acting in an accent.
One that works time & time again, character after character, accent after accent.
“I’m genuinely awestruck by this programme. A pitch-perfect blend of masterclasses and workshops. This has been the most interesting, fruitful & FUN approach to tackling an accent I have encountered so far and will, without doubt, form the basis of all my accent work going forward. Now, instead of viewing another accent with fear and trepidation, I feel free to approach it with curiosity and play.”
When it comes to accents, the best thing any actor can do is EMPOWER themselves with the mindset, knowledge, tools and strategies for approaching, understanding and unpicking them. The EMPOWER phase sets you up with those foundational necessities.
Next, we EMBODY. This phase is about working to find the most effective ways to get the sounds, shapes and patterns of a new accent into your muscle memory - so they feel familiar and comfortable enough to use to express yourself. EMBODY is the antidote to being in your head!
The final phase exists because being able to do an accent is one thing and acting in one is something different entirely. CONNECT is about working together to find the best way to integrate all this accent stuff with your acting stuff. It's about ensuring you have the process and tools needed to stay CONNECTED whilst sounding consistent - even in those emotional moments.

“Maeve is the most wonderful dialect coach I’ve had the pleasure of working with. The programme has given so much more confidence when acting in accent, trusting that I know have a hefty toolbox to help me find my way. Before we began, I was starting to believe that maybe I just can’t do accents. That idea has been firmly placed in the bin and I now approach this work with such an improved mindset!”
Once you’ve empowered yourself with the understanding of how accents work, it’s time to get your body on board and, of course, connect it all to your acting!
Commit to the full three phases now to ensure you complete the journey by getting strategies up your sleeve for:
EMBODYing & gaining ownership of all the features you’ll learn to uncover in EMPOWER
communicating through those features - so you can be sure to reach for them instead of your own - even in those emotional moments!
